Flash Forward Part I

Here in the States, there has been a popular television program, Flash Forward, about a single moment that everyone on the planet blacks out for a minute or two.

During that time they all have a personal vision of their future, where they are and what they’re doing, a glimpse of a singular day forthcoming.  All of the characters are attempting to understand their personal visions and how they might create their vision, or tempt fate and stop the inevitable from happening.

I’ve seen a few episodes and it got me thinking, how many people take the time to really think about their own Flash Forward?  I try to frequently take a look at my life, and reflect on if I’m continuing to eat-up the miles in the direction I want to go… and you know what I discovered? At times my life resembled the oval of a Nascar Track (turn left–turn left–turn left).

I thought I was movin’ and groovin’, making some progress accelerating down the straight-a-ways, but then before I know it… I’m into the turn, completely on auto-pilot, and heading back to where I began. Back to my comfort zone, not quite ready to take the third dimensional action needed to get off the track and accept my true authenticity.

There is an energy of our times that is asking so many of us to re-evaluate and restructure our long held beliefs, dismantling the ideologies that have become so automatic in our lives. We are all being called to take the actions necessary to insure that we are following our true and authentic life path. When we ignore our inner voice for too long, (you know, the one that’s nudging us to take uncomfortable and decisive action), the universe steps in to thoroughly and completely kick our butts.

We lose our jobs, we develop health issues, our relationships begin to deteriorate, sending drama, crisis and chaos into our lives from every angle, to force us to wake-the-hell-up! (That’s why they call it an “Awakening”).

Most of us have a personal goal that we are working towards, a vision of a new career, a new business, a new beautiful life, your own Flash Forward. Intuitively, it’s just a quick glance into your mind’s eye, when you allow yourself to daydream and visually create your future life. A glimpse inside the beautiful house that you will live, surrounded by people who unconditionally love and support you, feeling more empowered than you ever thought possible.

You can feel the radiance of divine support and abundance cascading, wave after wave, throughout your body. Ahhhhh… Go ahead, take a minute…I invite you to soak it up and get lost in this delicious energy for awhile…Mmmmmm.

This is your Flash Forward. This can be your life, once you are clear and honest with yourself and you learn to direct your energy to flow in the right direction.

The energies of our times are pretty insistent that we pay attention, get centered and get moving! The vibrational forces at work create an environment of tremendous support when you are aligned with your highest path. When you can align yourself with these energies, manifesting what you desire can happen very quickly!

Where are you in the process of creating your Flash Forward? Is it something that you work on every day? Or are you stuck in the process and not quite feeling it? Deep down do you know that something is holding you back and keeping you blocked, but you can’t quite put your finger on it? Does the dream remain but, you just don’t know where to start?

We all chose to incarnate at this time, to bring forward our unique gifts, our spiritual awareness and the energy of change to a wounded planet and its people. We are the pioneers of this new era of enlightenment, here to break down the old way of thinking, to champion the energy of love, compassion, fairness and truth. Your talents are needed now more than ever. Are you ready to step into your power?

Reflection and the Princess of Disks

Princess of Disks

I’ve always been somewhat reluctant to ask my guides for assistance on some matters that just seemed, well, a little trivial to be interrupting my celestial dream team with. After all, aren’t they busy with deeply meditative, savings us from the ravages of man, kind of spiritual stuff? So I finally got it through my stubborn German head that this is why they are here and began to ask for assistance much more frequently.

When I sat down to write this post, I thought I’d play around with my new relationship and specifically ask for a little help. I performed my usual routine to connect with my spirit guides and asked them for some direction on this post and I received clairaudiently, from a very soft and unassuming voice, “Pick a Card”… I had on my desk, a deck of Thoth Tarot Cards that I bought a few years back on a whim and rediscovered the deck during a recent move. Having dabbled a little bit with the cards, I was familiar with the deck but never seriously experimented with them as a form of divination.

Given such clear direction from my guides, I figured, what the hell, I’m game.

Tarot cards represent, through the artwork, very powerful symbolism and archetypes, and can be interpreted many different ways depending on what the imagery represents to the viewer. I reached for the deck, gave it a cut, maybe two, and picked a card that I felt wanted to be displayed; it was the Princess of Disks.

I sat back in my chair and studied the card by candlelight, staying quiet and detached while I continued focusing on the imagery and the energy of the card.

The Princess of Disks is one of the most vibrant cards in the entire deck. My interpretation, (and I remind you… I’m not a card-reader), is of a young woman reflecting on her past as she looks down into a chasm. She is holding a shield with the yin/yang symbol on the face and a lighted staff pointing down and projecting a bright light into the depth (the past?).  She stands proud and strong in her present state as she is collecting herself to continue boldly with her life’s journey…balanced, emotionally collected and empowered. There is an appearance of a subtle bump in her mid-section and she appears to be nurturing a new life yet to be born. It is truly a card of transitions.

It only took a few seconds for me to realize that this card was a reflection of where I was in my life at this point in time. I have transitioned from learning everything I could about business and finance for the last 28 years, to making a commitment to share my experiences, healing abilities and intuition, in service to others. I was at the end of one very important chapter of my life and turning the first page of another. I’ve been spending a lot of time reflecting on my personal journey…where I’d been and planning where I was going, a new and wonderful life gestating inside of me. My guides delivered.

Please, give it a try yourself. Take a look at the card at the top of the page. How do you personally resonate with the Princess of Disks?  Do you feel you have reached a point of personal reflection and are planning your next move? Or do you feel you might still be scaling the vertical walls, still shaken by the turmoil below?

What is the Princess of Disks saying to you?

Please leave me a comment and let me know if you also received an intuitive response.

Think I’ll go on a Walkabout

Blue Heron Fishing for Supper-2

I’ve  always had a very strong and personal connection with nature. Looking back, I guess it started in my teen years in Ohio. I would load up my 1972 Ford Pinto, with the family dog slobbering on the dash, out for a walk once or twice a week.  I just couldn’t stand to be stuck inside.

While living in the Pacific Northwest, I had every opportunity to get out in it’s fabled rain forests and waterfalls, snow capped mountains and miles of coastline. When it wasn’t raining, and sometimes even when it was, it presented an opportunity for some of the best nature days in the World. This is where I  started to pay close attention to what my spirit guides and mother nature was really sharing with me.

After a particularly tough week of being tugged and prodded like a horse on auction day, I loaded up my two dogs Jake and Cali into the back of the Subaru, for a much needed break. I was living in Port Angeles at the time and it was just a short drive to the coast to one of my favorite hiking spots along the bay.

As I walked along the beach, allowing  my thoughts to drift with each wave, I looked for beach glass, listened to the sounds of the surf and contemplated the events of  the week from hell.

After walking  a half mile up the beach, I came to a spot where Ennis Creek empties into the Straits of Juan DeFuca. The outlet formed a large sandbar that was only visible during a low tide. Just between the mouth of the creek and the surf stood, perfectly poised on one leg,  a Great Blue Heron, patiently waiting for his next meal to swim by. I stopped in my tracks and watched, doing my best not to scare him off.

It was amazing the amount of focus he possessed. Standing perfectly still on a single spindly leg, it’s sleek head turning first from one side then the other… it’s eyes tracking a meal, all as the surf threatened to take him out to sea. The Heron never faltered or even flinched.  My dogs and I were no more than ten yards away yet, he paid us little attention and continued his singular pursuit. I sat on a piece of driftwood and quietly watched from a distance, amazed at how this large bird (it must of stood four feet tall), could stay so balanced and focused even with intruders interrupting his hunt. I watched for a bit longer, hoping to see him catch a fish, however, my dog Cali let me know that they were on a walk and nudged me with a wet nose to get me moving again.

It wasn’t until later that day that I understood the significance of the sighting. The Heron represented three different lessons for me that I needed that day. One was to be patient, I’m not a very patient person, so that revelation was no surprise. The second was, that even though events seem to be crashing around you, stay balanced and well grounded. The third message from this encounter was to choose to do one thing at a time and don’t allow yourself to become distracted. I had two particular projects on my mind that were giving me fits and I needed to decide which project would serve the immediate need and put the other aside for more direct attention later.

We are constantly receiving guidance if we know where to look and how to interpret the soul speak, which is very subtle and understated. We just need to be present and observe with a certain amount of detachment and openness in order to understand.

Often these nudges present themselves as something that just seems a little odd or out of place, a way of prompting us to look a little deeper. For instance, my mother’s soul visits from time to time as a hummingbird, even in the dead of winter, so try watching for life’s little clues and synchronicities yourself.

I have since  moved from Washington State and began a new life in the Valley of the Sun…Phoenix, Arizona. I wonder what the lizards have to say?
