Damaged “Goods”?

- Image by ThomasLife via Flickr
One of the foundations of Soul Realignment is the clearing of negative programs and deep seeded beliefs that are not in alignment with who we truly are and impedes our ability to learn and achieve important life lessons.
One example of the programs are beliefs that we have bought into at one time or another that run in the background of our consciousness, broadcasting negative messages over and over again. Some programs are carry-overs from prior lifetimes, while others are a reflection of our physical environment and third dimensional experiences.
Our understanding of these experiences can have profound effects on our programming and belief system on a subconscious level, sculpted by where we live, who we interact with, our life circumstances and our general treatment and experience in the World.
Subconscious messages can get stuck in our psyche creating self doubt, self criticism and a slew of other negative mind chattering, telling us that we don’t possibly have the resources to succeed and undermining our self confidence. Once we bring the energy of the program into our lives as a belief, it can produce so much negativity that over time, we begin to unconsciously believe the message…it becomes part of ourselves and part of our personality.
For many of us, our childhood is when we are first introduced to programs that can become so deeply rooted in our psyches. One of the more damaging programs for many of us is what has been appropriately dubbed, “The Good Child Syndrome“.
The Good Child Syndrome begins when we are first getting our chubby little legs under ourselves as toddlers. We are no longer infants and we can see, taste, touch, move things around all by ourselves. We can feel love and begin to understand how we can interact with the world and what we can receive in return. In these early years we get loads of praise, love and acceptance…acceptance from our parents, our entire family and even the nice lady at the grocery store. To quote a friend of mine, we are surrounded by, “Love, Hugs and Peace”! We love it when we hear, That’s great Cindy! Look what you did! You are such a Good Girl! And we beam in the glow of the heartfelt admiration.
We soon learn that hey, this is alright… I feel loved when I’ve been good… everybody likes me when I’m good! And when we do good, we get to go to the park, we get ice cream from the ice cream truck, we get to stay up late and watch TV and eat popcorn! As long as we are good we get all kinds of perks in this life. As we get older, we think that we have it figured out and we don’t need to think twice about it. This life thing is not a big mystical conundrum, we just have to be good and we get what we want right?
Well the truth is, the internal “Good Child” can hold us back from our personal evolution because we are constantly looking for external recognition and approval, placing our critics values ahead of our own. The decisions that we make in our lives are subconsciously being run through “The Good Child” filter. We look for acceptance and approval from others before we act and are always questioning our own self worth, which can lead to pain, disappointment and resentment.
We evolve into valuing ourselves by the number of good deeds that we have performed through the gauge of others’ eyes. We look to overachieve in order to demonstrate our value. Because we want to do good, we all too often dismiss our needs because to be selfish with ourselves is, well, somehow bad in our minds.
We get entangled in what action can we take that others would consider good and what is sacrificed is our ability to live our lives based on our true identity and sacrificing our true authenticity in the process. We no longer look to our internal guidance systems and our intuition for answers because we make our decisions based on what will make others happy, with a total disregard for our own fulfillment.
It is indeed a very tricky and damaging game that we can play with ourselves. Ask yourself when the last time was that you acted completely selfishly, not caring in the least what others might think of your decision. Did you follow your conscious or did you listen to your ego mind telling you what you should or shouldn’t do? Did you think about what others might think of you if you took the action that your heart was guiding you towards, or did you cave to the pressure of being “The Good Child”?
So much of modern society is broken down into absolutes, good or bad, black or white, Democrat or Republican, Christian or Muslim, and to be good, we feel pressure to decide one way or the other…you’re either with us or against us. When we give in to this non-thinking paradigm, we essentially forfeit our gift of free will. We choose sides and cave in to societal pressures and join other lost and confused souls. Our ability to think and act for our highest good and the highest good of others is surrendered to the falsehoods of a mass consciousness clusterfuck.
Listen to your heart, your higher self and follow the messages that you are receiving from your spirit and your conscience. Remember, that your judgments about what is good or bad, right or wrong, creates absolutes…and absolutes undeniably create intolerance.
Flash Forward Part II

- Image via Wikipedia
I gotta admit that this Part II has taken a completely different turn than what I had originally intended. Originally, I designed part one as a lead in to a talk about energy clearing. But when I finally sat down to write it, keeping that theme just didn’t flow.
In the interim, I did publish an e-book “Clearing the Past to Empower Your Future”, that explains the energy clearing process and can be downloaded here: www.thesoulapproach.com.
This is actually my third attempt to publish this post. I had it all planned out in my head, what I was trying to express and how it was to unfold. But…no dice. I struggled with the message for a couple of weeks, forcing my stubborn self to stick to the plan and being personally attached to the outcome that I had orchestrated in my mind.
It became clear what this episode, Part II, needed to express…Detachment.
Even when we attempt to manifest even the simplest request, if we can’t detach from the outcome and continually tweak and obsess over the outcome, all we do is confuse the very beings that are destined to assist us. They become so confused about our vision that the law of attraction simply doesn’t work. In other words, if we can’t simply get out of our own way, the whole manifestation process comes to a standstill.
This metaphor might seem a little strange, but play along with me for a minute. Imagine that source energy has a drive through where you can set your intentions directly. You are patiently waiting for you order to be taken as you scan the endless possibilities on the menu. Finally, you have a great image of what your order will be as you pull up to the menu board. You speak into the clowns’ mouth, being as clear and concise as you can. You get a muffled reply confirming your order and directing you to move on up to the window.
But, you begin to wonder, did they hear me right? This is an important step in my life; I want this to happen so badly, I better check that they understood my order. You find a back entrance that leads to the kitchen and you decide you better make sure they get it right. You open the door and the assemble area is Huge! Much bigger than it looks from the outside.
Inside there is a flurry of activity, energetic conveyors coming from all directions, a continuous stream of order tickets that are being distributed to an endless supply of energetic beings. “Um… excuse me”, you say trying to get their attention, “I submitted my dream and I’m not sure if you understood, I want to make sure that it unfolds exactly as I want it too”. You get some odd stares as these energetic beings continue to perform their magic. You take it upon yourself to look around for your order and begin flipping through the tickets. (After all, you just want to take a little peek because you know exactly every detail and when and how, you want it to unfold.)
You find the “chef” that has your ticket and you decide to follow him around, just to make sure that your order is prepared properly. You’re standing behind the chef as he reaches into a sealed container. “Whoa, whoa, whoa”, you say, “That can’t be first, I can’t have it happen that way, that’s not how I want it to look”! You step in and start looking through containers, trying to find the perfect start as others orders continue passing you by.
The chef gives you a look and continues his preparation, attempting to ignore you….but this doesn’t work…you are pretty persistent about orchestrating your life so, you interrupt again. Every interruption and interjection has the effect of completely disrupting and irritating the chefs, making it impossible to complete your order.
My point is simply this; Life is what happens to you while you are making other plans. When we have set the intention for the life that we want to lead, our Flash Forward, we must detach from how it is “supposed” to unfold. Our interruptions just cause confusion because we are not allowing the Universe to complete our tasks and deliver what we have asked. We can become so attached to our vision that we can become closed off to the possibilities, not even recognizing the opportunities that are right in front of our face.
Do you have the courage it takes to simply step aside?
Flash Forward Part I
Here in the States, there has been a popular television program, Flash Forward, about a single moment that everyone on the planet blacks out for a minute or two.
During that time they all have a personal vision of their future, where they are and what they’re doing, a glimpse of a singular day forthcoming. All of the characters are attempting to understand their personal visions and how they might create their vision, or tempt fate and stop the inevitable from happening.
I’ve seen a few episodes and it got me thinking, how many people take the time to really think about their own Flash Forward? I try to frequently take a look at my life, and reflect on if I’m continuing to eat-up the miles in the direction I want to go… and you know what I discovered? At times my life resembled the oval of a Nascar Track (turn left–turn left–turn left).
I thought I was movin’ and groovin’, making some progress accelerating down the straight-a-ways, but then before I know it… I’m into the turn, completely on auto-pilot, and heading back to where I began. Back to my comfort zone, not quite ready to take the third dimensional action needed to get off the track and accept my true authenticity.
There is an energy of our times that is asking so many of us to re-evaluate and restructure our long held beliefs, dismantling the ideologies that have become so automatic in our lives. We are all being called to take the actions necessary to insure that we are following our true and authentic life path. When we ignore our inner voice for too long, (you know, the one that’s nudging us to take uncomfortable and decisive action), the universe steps in to thoroughly and completely kick our butts.
We lose our jobs, we develop health issues, our relationships begin to deteriorate, sending drama, crisis and chaos into our lives from every angle, to force us to wake-the-hell-up! (That’s why they call it an “Awakening”).
Most of us have a personal goal that we are working towards, a vision of a new career, a new business, a new beautiful life, your own Flash Forward. Intuitively, it’s just a quick glance into your mind’s eye, when you allow yourself to daydream and visually create your future life. A glimpse inside the beautiful house that you will live, surrounded by people who unconditionally love and support you, feeling more empowered than you ever thought possible.
You can feel the radiance of divine support and abundance cascading, wave after wave, throughout your body. Ahhhhh… Go ahead, take a minute…I invite you to soak it up and get lost in this delicious energy for awhile…Mmmmmm.
This is your Flash Forward. This can be your life, once you are clear and honest with yourself and you learn to direct your energy to flow in the right direction.
The energies of our times are pretty insistent that we pay attention, get centered and get moving! The vibrational forces at work create an environment of tremendous support when you are aligned with your highest path. When you can align yourself with these energies, manifesting what you desire can happen very quickly!
Where are you in the process of creating your Flash Forward? Is it something that you work on every day? Or are you stuck in the process and not quite feeling it? Deep down do you know that something is holding you back and keeping you blocked, but you can’t quite put your finger on it? Does the dream remain but, you just don’t know where to start?
We all chose to incarnate at this time, to bring forward our unique gifts, our spiritual awareness and the energy of change to a wounded planet and its people. We are the pioneers of this new era of enlightenment, here to break down the old way of thinking, to champion the energy of love, compassion, fairness and truth. Your talents are needed now more than ever. Are you ready to step into your power?
Next week Flash Forward Part II: Getting Clear, The First Steps…
Wouldn’t it be Great If…

- Image via Wikipedia
Ah, 2010, the tumultuous end to another decade. It seems that everyone, everywhere we look are talking about how sucky the last ten years really were for them personally. The economy sucks, their relationships suck, their jobs suck and we are all waiting for something to happen to remove the suckiness from our lives.
We are all being called on by spirit to make some drastic and downright scary changes and move forward into our own personal power. Spirit is calling you to make the changes that it has been hounding you to make, clearing the way for you to develop into your authentic kick-ass self.
We have known for years where the life we are leading, conforming to societal pressures, taking the advice of other “experts”, has led us…unhappy, unfulfilled and begging for more.
Before we incarnate into the physical, we chart a life plan with our higher self and some additional help from other souls we have incorporated on our team, to experience the primary and sometimes secondary life lessons that we have incarnated to work through. When we attempt to ignore our inner voice, our spirit, we end up dissatisfied and lost in what can be reflected as our own hell on earth.
Small synchronicities show up for all of us all the time, we are just too involved in our own situations to slow down and listen to the message, the message from our higher self and spirit guide team designed to keep us on track and fulfill our purpose. But hey, shit happens, and it is easier to keep doing what we have always done. We tell ourselves that we can’t possibly follow our authentic path, we have responsibilities, we have a mortgage, we have a family and others to think about first. I can’t be so selfish and ignore that fact can I?
Well, I’ve got news for you…that loudmouth that is always clammering in your head, screaming at you with all the horrible details as to why you can’t follow your dreams and purpose is your Ego…the part of you that is attached to the past and absolutely terrified by the future.
I had the opportunity this past week to participate in a Tele-class provided by Leah Shapiro of Defythebox.com called “Clearing your Way”. Leah is a manifestation master that coaches people to escape from their pre-packaged life. She directs her clients on how to change their personal energy patterns in order to manifest the life that they are destined to experience.
Leah shared one (among other) ways to shift ones energy that really stuck with me and I found so simple yet profound, that I had to share. Ask yourself “Wouldn’t it be Great If” …and you fill in the blank. Finish the statement in the most outrageous way that you can think of.
Wouldn’t it be Great If… I could finally kick to the curb all the relationships that aren’t supporting me and keeping me stuck?
Wouldn’t it be Great If… I could finally follow my bliss and create the authentic life that I deserve?
Wouldn’t it be Great If… I looked in my bank account and it reflected three… or four… (or more!) Commas?
Wouldn’t it be Great If…I finally had the courage to listen to my heart and follow my inner badass self?
Right now, take the time to say these words out loud…Wouldn’t it be Great If, and allow your inner voice to complete the phrase. Now, pay attention to how you feel. Do you feel the authentic shift in energy? Do you feel the tingling and warmth radiating from your chest and vibrating from your entire body? Can you feel the energy shifting outward to fill the space you are in? This simple shift in energy is also being projected out into the Universe to create a simple request for what you truly desire.
Quite simply, Your Energy Follows Your Thoughts. My healing work, Soul Realignment, is all about energy, clearing energetic darkness that needs to fall away from our emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. Energetic influences that have been carried, in some instances, throughout many lifetimes, holding us back from truly coming into our own power.
Practice this simple technique for shifting your energy in 2010 and see if you can start the new decade creating the kick ass life that you deserve.
Might As Well Jump
Being stuck is one of the most uncomfortable feeling that one can have, like a wedgie on steroids that no matter how much you wiggle, you can’t release. We have developed a plan, a means to and end, a well scripted theme to move us forward, we just have to pull the trigger. Having taken steady aim with the target in sight we feel frozen in time… fear of our own success has us paralyzed.
But really, what do we have to fear? History is full of people who have dared and succeeded through all types of sacrifice and turmoil. Why can’t we. Why can’t we indeed. Sometimes we need to take a different course of action to jump-start our dreams. I’d like to share an experience that I had that might put things into perspective.
I’ve been attempting to escape the corporate grind off and on for a few years now. Some attempts not well thought through, others not in alignment with my true authenticity and bound for failure from inception. I have always envied those entrepreneurs that had made the leap and been wildly successful, but in reality, they are the minute few that have become media darlings.
I had the concept, the training and the confidence to pull it off, or so I thought, but I was hopelessly lost and couldn’t pull the trigger. Having temporarily shelved my ambitions and falling back into the daily grind, I had an opportunity to do something that would certainly shake things up, an activity that I knew would change all my concerns about being “safe” and taking the conventional way out…Skydiving.
All the spiritual teachers that I have been studying over the years have shared the same theme about facing your fears…Take the steps and the stones will meet your strides. Hold truth in your actions and the teacher will appear, follow your bliss and new discoveries will unfold… and countless other metaphors. These teachings are all well and good but when you are stuck, sometimes you need more than words and a philosophy to get you off your ass.
On jump day, I was being strapped in the harness that would attach me tandem to my instructor. Strapped in so tight that my legs were nearly numb, we climbed into the plane to take our seats on the floor along with four other duo’s. Two of my jumping companions shared deer in the headlights expressions on their faces, the third was a true adrenaline junkie that looked like he would jump as soon as we were airborne and the final one, like me, was wondering WTF she was doing there.
The pilot took us up to 13,000 feet and one of the instructors opened the rolling door exposing the cool howling winds. I was the second one to jump. I was told to scoot on my backside to the open door and dangle my legs out of the plane. Looking down from that height, my butt puckered…there was only one way that I would be getting back to terra firma.
And then it happened…Whoosh!…I was sucked out of the plane flailing like a butterfly that just missed the windshield. I had no idea from one moment to the next if I was looking at the ground or the sky as we tumbled through the cold air. With a surge of adrenaline through my body like I have never experienced, I was on a high like no other. We leveled off, arms out and legs tucked behind in what is called the banana pose as the free fall began.
The only sound was the wind rushing past my face as we fell 120 mph through the atmosphere, my cheeks flapping in the breeze through the biggest grin I’ve had in years, if not ever. The views were incredible as we rotated during the decent, the Olympic mountains on one side and the Strait of Juan De Fuca stretching out over the horizon on the other. free-falling is the most incredible feeling, I had no fear of hitting the ground because at that moment, I really thought that I could fly.
During the fall, I got a nudge from my spirit guides, “you have taken one step you can take another”. Well Duh…this is something that I had known and a statement that had been repeated by my guides several times, but it certainly commanded more attention now, as I was falling back to Earth, than it ever did in any boardroom.
The chute was pulled once we hit the 5,000 foot mark and we began to gently descend under the canopy. We had barely touched down on solid ground and all I could think about was when can I jump again. It was probably the most expansive experience in my life at the time when I needed it most.
I had confronted one of man’s most primal fears and walked away with a new sense of accomplishment and perspective on what the spiritual elite have been lecturing for centuries…take the steps, have faith and all the details will take care of themselves.
After the jump I was on a three-day high. My energy level had increased as well as my creativity. In those three days that followed, I wrote the text for my Web Page, started to write Blog articles again and developed a give away program for my web followers. Once again, I was back on the spiritual journey that I was here to experience. The road had indeed risen up to meet my feet. When I sense that I am getting that blocked ever again, I know how to break through…Might as well jump.
