Damaged “Goods”?

One of the foundations of Soul Realignment is the clearing of negative programs and deep seeded beliefs that are not in alignment with who we truly are and impedes our ability to learn and achieve important life lessons.
One example of the programs are beliefs that we have bought into at one time or another that run in the background of our consciousness, broadcasting negative messages over and over again. Some programs are carry-overs from prior lifetimes, while others are a reflection of our physical environment and third dimensional experiences.
Our understanding of these experiences can have profound effects on our programming and belief system on a subconscious level, sculpted by where we live, who we interact with, our life circumstances and our general treatment and experience in the World.
Subconscious messages can get stuck in our psyche creating self doubt, self criticism and a slew of other negative mind chattering, telling us that we don’t possibly have the resources to succeed and undermining our self confidence. Once we bring the energy of the program into our lives as a belief, it can produce so much negativity that over time, we begin to unconsciously believe the message…it becomes part of ourselves and part of our personality.
For many of us, our childhood is when we are first introduced to programs that can become so deeply rooted in our psyches. One of the more damaging programs for many of us is what has been appropriately dubbed, “The Good Child Syndrome“.
The Good Child Syndrome begins when we are first getting our chubby little legs under ourselves as toddlers. We are no longer infants and we can see, taste, touch, move things around all by ourselves. We can feel love and begin to understand how we can interact with the world and what we can receive in return. In these early years we get loads of praise, love and acceptance…acceptance from our parents, our entire family and even the nice lady at the grocery store. To quote a friend of mine, we are surrounded by, “Love, Hugs and Peace”! We love it when we hear, That’s great Cindy! Look what you did! You are such a Good Girl! And we beam in the glow of the heartfelt admiration.
We soon learn that hey, this is alright… I feel loved when I’ve been good… everybody likes me when I’m good! And when we do good, we get to go to the park, we get ice cream from the ice cream truck, we get to stay up late and watch TV and eat popcorn! As long as we are good we get all kinds of perks in this life. As we get older, we think that we have it figured out and we don’t need to think twice about it. This life thing is not a big mystical conundrum, we just have to be good and we get what we want right?
Well the truth is, the internal “Good Child” can hold us back from our personal evolution because we are constantly looking for external recognition and approval, placing our critics values ahead of our own. The decisions that we make in our lives are subconsciously being run through “The Good Child” filter. We look for acceptance and approval from others before we act and are always questioning our own self worth, which can lead to pain, disappointment and resentment.
We evolve into valuing ourselves by the number of good deeds that we have performed through the gauge of others’ eyes. We look to overachieve in order to demonstrate our value. Because we want to do good, we all too often dismiss our needs because to be selfish with ourselves is, well, somehow bad in our minds.
We get entangled in what action can we take that others would consider good and what is sacrificed is our ability to live our lives based on our true identity and sacrificing our true authenticity in the process. We no longer look to our internal guidance systems and our intuition for answers because we make our decisions based on what will make others happy, with a total disregard for our own fulfillment.
It is indeed a very tricky and damaging game that we can play with ourselves. Ask yourself when the last time was that you acted completely selfishly, not caring in the least what others might think of your decision. Did you follow your conscious or did you listen to your ego mind telling you what you should or shouldn’t do? Did you think about what others might think of you if you took the action that your heart was guiding you towards, or did you cave to the pressure of being “The Good Child”?
So much of modern society is broken down into absolutes, good or bad, black or white, Democrat or Republican, Christian or Muslim, and to be good, we feel pressure to decide one way or the other…you’re either with us or against us. When we give in to this non-thinking paradigm, we essentially forfeit our gift of free will. We choose sides and cave in to societal pressures and join other lost and confused souls. Our ability to think and act for our highest good and the highest good of others is surrendered to the falsehoods of a mass consciousness clusterfuck.
Listen to your heart, your higher self and follow the messages that you are receiving from your spirit and your conscience. Remember, that your judgments about what is good or bad, right or wrong, creates absolutes…and absolutes undeniably create intolerance.
Wouldn’t it be Great If…

Ah, 2010, the tumultuous end to another decade. It seems that everyone, everywhere we look are talking about how sucky the last ten years really were for them personally. The economy sucks, their relationships suck, their jobs suck and we are all waiting for something to happen to remove the suckiness from our lives.
We are all being called on by spirit to make some drastic and downright scary changes and move forward into our own personal power. Spirit is calling you to make the changes that it has been hounding you to make, clearing the way for you to develop into your authentic kick-ass self.
We have known for years where the life we are leading, conforming to societal pressures, taking the advice of other “experts”, has led us…unhappy, unfulfilled and begging for more.
Before we incarnate into the physical, we chart a life plan with our higher self and some additional help from other souls we have incorporated on our team, to experience the primary and sometimes secondary life lessons that we have incarnated to work through. When we attempt to ignore our inner voice, our spirit, we end up dissatisfied and lost in what can be reflected as our own hell on earth.
Small synchronicities show up for all of us all the time, we are just too involved in our own situations to slow down and listen to the message, the message from our higher self and spirit guide team designed to keep us on track and fulfill our purpose. But hey, shit happens, and it is easier to keep doing what we have always done. We tell ourselves that we can’t possibly follow our authentic path, we have responsibilities, we have a mortgage, we have a family and others to think about first. I can’t be so selfish and ignore that fact can I?
Well, I’ve got news for you…that loudmouth that is always clammering in your head, screaming at you with all the horrible details as to why you can’t follow your dreams and purpose is your Ego…the part of you that is attached to the past and absolutely terrified by the future.
I had the opportunity this past week to participate in a Tele-class provided by Leah Shapiro of Defythebox.com called “Clearing your Way”. Leah is a manifestation master that coaches people to escape from their pre-packaged life. She directs her clients on how to change their personal energy patterns in order to manifest the life that they are destined to experience.
Leah shared one (among other) ways to shift ones energy that really stuck with me and I found so simple yet profound, that I had to share. Ask yourself “Wouldn’t it be Great If” …and you fill in the blank. Finish the statement in the most outrageous way that you can think of.
Wouldn’t it be Great If… I could finally kick to the curb all the relationships that aren’t supporting me and keeping me stuck?
Wouldn’t it be Great If… I could finally follow my bliss and create the authentic life that I deserve?
Wouldn’t it be Great If… I looked in my bank account and it reflected three… or four… (or more!) Commas?
Wouldn’t it be Great If…I finally had the courage to listen to my heart and follow my inner badass self?
Right now, take the time to say these words out loud…Wouldn’t it be Great If, and allow your inner voice to complete the phrase. Now, pay attention to how you feel. Do you feel the authentic shift in energy? Do you feel the tingling and warmth radiating from your chest and vibrating from your entire body? Can you feel the energy shifting outward to fill the space you are in? This simple shift in energy is also being projected out into the Universe to create a simple request for what you truly desire.
Quite simply, Your Energy Follows Your Thoughts. My healing work, Soul Realignment, is all about energy, clearing energetic darkness that needs to fall away from our emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. Energetic influences that have been carried, in some instances, throughout many lifetimes, holding us back from truly coming into our own power.
Practice this simple technique for shifting your energy in 2010 and see if you can start the new decade creating the kick ass life that you deserve.
