Damaged “Goods”?

CHEEEEESE!

One of the foundations of Soul Realignment is the clearing of negative programs and deep seeded beliefs that are not in alignment with who we truly are and impedes our ability to learn and achieve important life lessons.

One example of the programs are beliefs that we have bought into at one time or another that run in the background of our consciousness, broadcasting negative messages over and over again. Some programs are carry-overs from prior lifetimes, while others are a reflection of our physical environment and third dimensional experiences.

Our understanding of these experiences can have profound effects on our programming and belief system on a subconscious level, sculpted by where we live, who we interact with, our life circumstances and our general treatment and experience in the World.

Subconscious messages can get stuck in our psyche creating self doubt, self criticism and a slew of other negative mind chattering, telling us that we don’t possibly have the resources to succeed and undermining our self confidence. Once we bring the energy of the program into our lives as a belief, it can produce so much negativity that over time, we begin to unconsciously believe the message…it becomes part of ourselves and part of our personality.

For many of us, our childhood is when we are first introduced to programs that can become so deeply rooted in our psyches. One of the more damaging programs for many of us is what has been appropriately dubbed, “The Good Child Syndrome“.

The Good Child Syndrome begins when we are first getting our chubby little legs under ourselves as toddlers. We are no longer infants and we can see, taste, touch, move things around all by ourselves. We can feel love and begin to understand how we can interact with the world and what we can receive in return. In these early years we get loads of praise, love and acceptance…acceptance from our parents, our entire family and even the nice lady at the grocery store. To quote a friend of mine, we are surrounded by, “Love, Hugs and Peace”! We love it when we hear, That’s great Cindy! Look what you did! You are such a Good Girl! And we beam in the glow of the heartfelt admiration.

We soon learn that hey, this is alright… I feel loved when I’ve been good… everybody likes me when I’m good! And when we do good, we get to go to the park, we get ice cream from the ice cream truck, we get to stay up late and watch TV and eat popcorn! As long as we are good we get all kinds of perks in this life. As we get older, we think that we have it figured out and we don’t need to think twice about it. This life thing is not a big mystical conundrum, we just have to be good and we get what we want right?

Well the truth is, the internal “Good Child” can hold us back from our personal evolution because we are constantly looking for external recognition and approval, placing our critics values ahead of our own. The decisions that we make in our lives are subconsciously being run through “The Good Child” filter. We look for acceptance and approval from others before we act and are always questioning our own self worth, which can lead to pain, disappointment and resentment.

We evolve into valuing ourselves by the number of good deeds that we have performed through the gauge of others’ eyes. We look to overachieve in order to demonstrate our value. Because we want to do good, we all too often dismiss our needs because to be selfish with ourselves is, well, somehow bad in our minds.

We get entangled in what action can we take that others would consider good and what is sacrificed is our ability to live our lives based on our true identity and sacrificing our true authenticity in the process. We no longer look to our internal guidance systems and our intuition for answers because we make our decisions based on what will make others happy, with a total disregard for our own fulfillment.

It is indeed a very tricky and damaging game that we can play with ourselves. Ask yourself when the last time was that you acted completely selfishly, not caring in the least what others might think of your decision. Did you follow your conscious or did you listen to your ego mind telling you what you should or shouldn’t do? Did you think about what others might think of you if you took the action that your heart was guiding you towards, or did you cave to the pressure of being “The Good Child”?

So much of modern society is broken down into absolutes, good or bad, black or white, Democrat or Republican, Christian or Muslim, and to be good, we feel pressure to decide one way or the other…you’re either with us or against us. When we give in to this non-thinking paradigm, we essentially forfeit our gift of free will. We choose sides and cave in to societal pressures and join other lost and confused souls. Our ability to think and act for our highest good and the highest good of others is surrendered to the falsehoods of a mass consciousness clusterfuck.

Listen to your heart, your higher self and follow the messages that you are receiving from your spirit and your conscience. Remember, that your judgments about what is good or bad, right or wrong, creates absolutes…and absolutes undeniably create intolerance.

Flash Forward Part I

Here in the States, there has been a popular television program, Flash Forward, about a single moment that everyone on the planet blacks out for a minute or two.

During that time they all have a personal vision of their future, where they are and what they’re doing, a glimpse of a singular day forthcoming.  All of the characters are attempting to understand their personal visions and how they might create their vision, or tempt fate and stop the inevitable from happening.

I’ve seen a few episodes and it got me thinking, how many people take the time to really think about their own Flash Forward?  I try to frequently take a look at my life, and reflect on if I’m continuing to eat-up the miles in the direction I want to go… and you know what I discovered? At times my life resembled the oval of a Nascar Track (turn left–turn left–turn left).

I thought I was movin’ and groovin’, making some progress accelerating down the straight-a-ways, but then before I know it… I’m into the turn, completely on auto-pilot, and heading back to where I began. Back to my comfort zone, not quite ready to take the third dimensional action needed to get off the track and accept my true authenticity.

There is an energy of our times that is asking so many of us to re-evaluate and restructure our long held beliefs, dismantling the ideologies that have become so automatic in our lives. We are all being called to take the actions necessary to insure that we are following our true and authentic life path. When we ignore our inner voice for too long, (you know, the one that’s nudging us to take uncomfortable and decisive action), the universe steps in to thoroughly and completely kick our butts.

We lose our jobs, we develop health issues, our relationships begin to deteriorate, sending drama, crisis and chaos into our lives from every angle, to force us to wake-the-hell-up! (That’s why they call it an “Awakening”).

Most of us have a personal goal that we are working towards, a vision of a new career, a new business, a new beautiful life, your own Flash Forward. Intuitively, it’s just a quick glance into your mind’s eye, when you allow yourself to daydream and visually create your future life. A glimpse inside the beautiful house that you will live, surrounded by people who unconditionally love and support you, feeling more empowered than you ever thought possible.

You can feel the radiance of divine support and abundance cascading, wave after wave, throughout your body. Ahhhhh… Go ahead, take a minute…I invite you to soak it up and get lost in this delicious energy for awhile…Mmmmmm.

This is your Flash Forward. This can be your life, once you are clear and honest with yourself and you learn to direct your energy to flow in the right direction.

The energies of our times are pretty insistent that we pay attention, get centered and get moving! The vibrational forces at work create an environment of tremendous support when you are aligned with your highest path. When you can align yourself with these energies, manifesting what you desire can happen very quickly!

Where are you in the process of creating your Flash Forward? Is it something that you work on every day? Or are you stuck in the process and not quite feeling it? Deep down do you know that something is holding you back and keeping you blocked, but you can’t quite put your finger on it? Does the dream remain but, you just don’t know where to start?

We all chose to incarnate at this time, to bring forward our unique gifts, our spiritual awareness and the energy of change to a wounded planet and its people. We are the pioneers of this new era of enlightenment, here to break down the old way of thinking, to champion the energy of love, compassion, fairness and truth. Your talents are needed now more than ever. Are you ready to step into your power?

Think I’ll go on a Walkabout

Blue Heron Fishing for Supper-2

I’ve  always had a very strong and personal connection with nature. Looking back, I guess it started in my teen years in Ohio. I would load up my 1972 Ford Pinto, with the family dog slobbering on the dash, out for a walk once or twice a week.  I just couldn’t stand to be stuck inside.

While living in the Pacific Northwest, I had every opportunity to get out in it’s fabled rain forests and waterfalls, snow capped mountains and miles of coastline. When it wasn’t raining, and sometimes even when it was, it presented an opportunity for some of the best nature days in the World. This is where I  started to pay close attention to what my spirit guides and mother nature was really sharing with me.

After a particularly tough week of being tugged and prodded like a horse on auction day, I loaded up my two dogs Jake and Cali into the back of the Subaru, for a much needed break. I was living in Port Angeles at the time and it was just a short drive to the coast to one of my favorite hiking spots along the bay.

As I walked along the beach, allowing  my thoughts to drift with each wave, I looked for beach glass, listened to the sounds of the surf and contemplated the events of  the week from hell.

After walking  a half mile up the beach, I came to a spot where Ennis Creek empties into the Straits of Juan DeFuca. The outlet formed a large sandbar that was only visible during a low tide. Just between the mouth of the creek and the surf stood, perfectly poised on one leg,  a Great Blue Heron, patiently waiting for his next meal to swim by. I stopped in my tracks and watched, doing my best not to scare him off.

It was amazing the amount of focus he possessed. Standing perfectly still on a single spindly leg, it’s sleek head turning first from one side then the other… it’s eyes tracking a meal, all as the surf threatened to take him out to sea. The Heron never faltered or even flinched.  My dogs and I were no more than ten yards away yet, he paid us little attention and continued his singular pursuit. I sat on a piece of driftwood and quietly watched from a distance, amazed at how this large bird (it must of stood four feet tall), could stay so balanced and focused even with intruders interrupting his hunt. I watched for a bit longer, hoping to see him catch a fish, however, my dog Cali let me know that they were on a walk and nudged me with a wet nose to get me moving again.

It wasn’t until later that day that I understood the significance of the sighting. The Heron represented three different lessons for me that I needed that day. One was to be patient, I’m not a very patient person, so that revelation was no surprise. The second was, that even though events seem to be crashing around you, stay balanced and well grounded. The third message from this encounter was to choose to do one thing at a time and don’t allow yourself to become distracted. I had two particular projects on my mind that were giving me fits and I needed to decide which project would serve the immediate need and put the other aside for more direct attention later.

We are constantly receiving guidance if we know where to look and how to interpret the soul speak, which is very subtle and understated. We just need to be present and observe with a certain amount of detachment and openness in order to understand.

Often these nudges present themselves as something that just seems a little odd or out of place, a way of prompting us to look a little deeper. For instance, my mother’s soul visits from time to time as a hummingbird, even in the dead of winter, so try watching for life’s little clues and synchronicities yourself.

I have since  moved from Washington State and began a new life in the Valley of the Sun…Phoenix, Arizona. I wonder what the lizards have to say?

Wouldn’t it be Great If…

A bouncing ball captured with a stroboscopic f...

Ah, 2010, the tumultuous end to another decade. It seems that everyone, everywhere we look are talking about how sucky the last ten years really were for them personally. The economy sucks, their relationships suck, their jobs suck and we are all waiting for something to happen to remove the suckiness from our lives.

We are all being called on by spirit to make some drastic and downright scary changes and move forward into our own personal power. Spirit is calling you to make the changes that it has been hounding you to make, clearing the way for you to develop into your authentic kick-ass self.

We have known for years where the life we are leading, conforming to societal pressures, taking the advice of other “experts”, has led us…unhappy, unfulfilled and begging for more.

Before we incarnate into the physical, we chart a life plan with our higher self and some additional help from other souls we have incorporated on our team, to experience the primary and sometimes secondary life lessons that we have incarnated to work through. When we attempt to ignore our inner voice, our spirit, we end up dissatisfied and lost in what can be reflected as our own hell on earth.

Small synchronicities show up for all of us all the time, we are just too involved in our own situations to slow down and listen to the message, the message from our higher self and spirit guide team designed to keep us on track and fulfill our purpose. But hey, shit happens, and it is easier to keep doing what we have always done. We tell ourselves that we can’t possibly follow our authentic path, we have responsibilities, we have a mortgage, we have a family and others to think about first. I can’t be so selfish and ignore that fact can I?

Well, I’ve got news for you…that loudmouth that is always clammering in your head, screaming at you with all the horrible details as to why you can’t follow your dreams and purpose is your Ego…the part of you that is attached to the past and absolutely terrified by the future.

I had the opportunity this past week to participate in a Tele-class provided by Leah Shapiro of Defythebox.com called “Clearing your Way”. Leah is a manifestation master that coaches people to escape from their pre-packaged life. She directs her clients on how to change their personal energy patterns in order to manifest the life that they are destined to experience.

Leah shared one (among other) ways to shift ones energy that really stuck with me and I found so simple yet profound, that I had to share. Ask yourself “Wouldn’t it be Great If” …and you fill in the blank. Finish the statement in the most outrageous way that you can think of.

Wouldn’t it be Great If… I could finally kick to the curb all the relationships that aren’t supporting me and keeping me stuck?

Wouldn’t it be Great If… I could finally follow my bliss and create the authentic life that I deserve?

Wouldn’t it be Great If… I looked in my bank account and it reflected three… or four… (or more!) Commas?

Wouldn’t it be Great If…I finally had the courage to listen to my heart and follow my inner badass self?

Right now, take the time to say these words out loud…Wouldn’t it be Great If, and allow your inner voice to complete the phrase. Now, pay attention to how you feel. Do you feel the authentic shift in energy? Do you feel the tingling and warmth radiating from your chest and vibrating from your entire body? Can you feel the energy shifting outward to fill the space you are in? This simple shift in energy is also being projected out into the Universe to create a simple request for what you truly desire.

Quite simply, Your Energy Follows Your Thoughts. My healing work, Soul Realignment, is all about energy, clearing energetic darkness that needs to fall away from our emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. Energetic influences that have been carried, in some instances, throughout many lifetimes, holding us back from truly coming into our own power.

Practice this simple technique for shifting your energy in 2010 and see if you can start the new decade creating the kick ass life that you deserve.

A Deeper Understanding

I’ve always had a deep interest in the charted path of mankind, expressed not only in the spiritual teachings of all times, but in the artwork created that has been a reflection of humanity throughout history. Art that has been created in different periods of history has always fascinated me and peaked my imagination as to what was influencing the artist on a personal level, as well as a collective societal level, to create the brilliant pieces that have endured.

A few years ago, I had an opportunity to tour the Louvre in Paris, where not only some of the most revered art throughout history is stored, but archeological wonders throughout antiquity We arrived early, just as the museum had opened and began to work our way through the vast halls, reflecting on this amazing collection relatively undisturbed by the early morning crowds.

Come noon, all that rapidly changed as the tour buses carrying hundreds of tourist descended like a wolf pack on a fresh kill. Soon the previously sedate and tranquil halls were filled with a whirlwind of rushing tourists, sporting bright shirts, tube socks and baseball caps, cameras tightly tethered around their necks and bouncing high off their ample bellies.

I watched from a distance as the swarm descended on the Venus De Milo, bumping and twisting for position to get  pictures of themselves in the same frame with the most famous depiction of female beauty. Camera shutters clicked from all angles as the sea of photographers directed their models on were to stand and how to pose all with their backs to the sculpture, never honoring this gift by giving it a first, or a second glance.

I watched amused as security made feeble attempts to keep the swarm at a reasonable distance. One of the greatest depictions of art of all time, might as well have been Mickey or Goofy at Disneyland. The significance of this masterpiece was lost to ignorance, all for a Kodak moment to record another notch in their travel belts.

This surreal image has not left me for many years, the dishonorable and almost comical way in which one of the greatest gifts to mankind was exploited. It occurred to me that this is the way that a majority of mankind has attempting to embrace their spirituality.

When we choose a spiritual path, some of us have been taught that there is a specific universal formula to follow and we will be have everything that we have wished for forever and ever Amen. We don’t need to have a deeper understanding, a heartfelt appreciation or even a personal relationship with our spirit, somehow this is taken care of for us. No responsibility, just scripted ritual that will ensure our spirit endures. Just like the tourists at the Louvre, when we ignore the deeper understanding… the significance and process of creation and how we feed our spirit, we are missing the point. Your spiritual development is your responsibility, there is no magic bullet to deliver you to “salvation”.

True growth is gained through honoring who you truly are, your spirit, your soul, and presenting this part of you into everyday life. Daily rituals and routines are good, however, you are not honoring your true self if you don’t put into practice what you have learned into every moment and every situation every minute of every day.

God Speed

By Scott Bishop · September 2, 2009 · Filed in Life Purpose, Spiritual Healing, Spirituality · No Comments »

We have all witnessed the melodramatic films depicting the hero or heroine being launched on an impossible journey with the words “God Speed my friend”.

I intended to write this post about the acceleration of our lives we all  are experiencing and God Speed is the phrase that popped into my head…although using the phrase in a different context…literally, the speed in which changes in our lives are manifesting.

As we have all experienced lately, everything seems to be accelerating, social and religious dogmas, long-standing financial and political institutions and corporate  ideals have all been rapidly disfigured. The illusion of stability has been disrupted with a sonic boom, wiping out  old  patterns and structures that used to provide stability in our lives. Many of us, for the very first time,  feel totally exposed, standing naked and vulnerable amongst the turbulence.

The vibrational frequency of our planet has accelerated, affording us all the opportunity for rapid and positive changes in our lives. This is an unprecedented time in history, the set up having been orchestrated by many decades of worldly lies and distortions. What we believe and can dream to achieve can be realized once we recognize that we are the authors of our existence and have the power to make drastic and lasting changes.

Just as quickly as these structures have fallen, we can re-create our own ideals and dreams. When we are in alignment with our direction and accepting that we can create the life that we desire, we can experience the magic in utilizing this new definition of God Speed.

God Speed can be witnessed by the accelerated way in which our manifestations can become reality. Once we are in alignment with our purpose and desires, positive changes can come about with lightning speed.

A few years ago, we had our dreams and ambitions of where we wanted to go and what life path that we were destined to follow. There was no real sense of urgency…just slow and steady motion and our goals could be achieved, riding the waves of a slower frequency pattern. Everything would happen in its own time and although there was urgency to achieve, it was at a much more relaxed pace. It seemed that we could be a little lazy about moving forward and things would work out in their own sweet time.

Over the past few months, however, the game has changed. The pace has quickened with the energy building, pushing us to either join in the game or be bowled over and left in the dust. We are sensing an urgent drive to jump on board and make necessary changes in our lives to resonate with this new energy. Now is the time to reflect on what is working in our lives, what relationships are supporting us, what direction are we going, what is fulfilling in our lives and what areas are causing us distress and move forward in support of our changing world.

When we have taken the time for this self-examination and are in alignment with our true selves and affirming our intentions, unbelievably rapid and positive changes can be experienced in our lives. When we are out of alignment, stubbornly attempting to hold on to old patterns and un-supportive relationships, a funny thing happens…the Universe steps in and kicks our butts. Old ideals and patterns are stripped away and abandoned, forcing us to refocus our lives and intentions.

Will you continue and stubbornly stay the course ignoring the messenger, or allow yourself to follow your true path and purpose and allow the magic of God Speed to enter your life.
